Getting Back Out There
Safe
Now that I am officially 2 weeks past my second vaccine dose, I am basically safe to go out shopping, visit people, and so on. While wearing a mask, of course.
Jeff got his second dose on Tuesday, and we drove up to Mountain, WI to get his dose. After that long-ish drive, I wasn’t really up for going out and about. So, I waited until Wednesday to go out and do some shopping.
Target
I started with Target. I was excited to go inside and shop since I haven’t done so in forever it seems. I was also a little nervous about how many mask-holes there would be.
I was pleasantly surprised to only see one mask-hole. She had a hoard of children with her, so I had multiple reasons to stay away from her.
Old Navy/The Mall
My second stop was Old Navy to make some returns on some clothing I bought online. This required me to go through a portion of the mall, so I saw a decent amount of people. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of the people were wearing masks.
Costco
My third stop was Costco, which I have been to a few times throughout the pandemic because they require mask-wearing. I saw the most mask-holes there. It made me wonder a bit why I had thought Costco was the safest place since that’s where I saw the most mask-holes. Oh well.
Overall, I felt pretty comfortable inside all of the stores. It’s a little easier now that I am fully vaccinated, obviously.
It was a good return to some normalcy. I look forward to getting out more and seeing more friends (likely not at the same time).
