Weight Loss
I have been using the Noom weight loss app since last December. I’ve had a few ups and downs with my weight since then, but I have been steadily losing weight.
The other day. I actually surpassed my weight loss goal and hit a 40 pound weight loss!
40 pounds!!!
Now that the pounds are gone, I can’t believe I was carrying that much weight around in the first place. I was close to 200 pounds. I wasn’t happy with myself because I had no excuse to be that overweight.
It hasn’t been too terribly difficult so far, I just log my food in the app and stay under the calorie allotment. I take days off from it every so often, like when I go to see my family so I don’t have to worry about what I eat.
I took off a week during Christmas so I could enjoy all the yummy treats. I took another week off for my birthday in April. Because cake.
It will likely be more difficult to maintain the weight loss once we start going out to eat again. We haven’t been out to a restaurant since the pandemic. We will start going to them again once Jeff and I are both fully vaccinated (I already am) and have had the 2 week incubation time. Jeff will hit that on May 11th.
When I take the time off from the calorie deficit diet, I am usually a bit happy to go back to it. Noom has trained me a bit to be happy with healthier foods. I still want junk food sometimes, and I don’t want to deprive myself. I just need to figure out a balance.
I will keep using Noom until I can trust myself to make good food decisions without logging all of my meals and snacks.
