Jason Derulo
Our Annual Passes to Universal Studios got us access to the free Mardi Gras concerts they put on in February-March. There were a few artists I cared about, but the main one I wanted to see was Jason Derulo. He happened to be the last concert and his concert was just a few days before we headed back home to Wisconsin.
Surprise Party
This past weekend, we attended a surprise birthday party for my brother-in-law (sister’s husband). He turned 50 over Memorial Day weekend.
Fail
This morning, I woke up filled with anxiety. I was dreaming that I would be graduating from high school soon and I hadn’t gone to my math class all semester. I wasn’t going to be able to graduate with a failing grade!
Rollercoasters
I love rollercoasters. But, I am also picky about them. I like them to be fast, have drops, and be thrilling. I’m not too fond of rollercoasters that go upside down. That takes away a lot of rollercoaster options for me.
I’m Back!
I did not mean to go without posting here for as long as I have. But, I’m back!
We have already been back from Florida for a month now. In Florida, we were busy enjoying the sun, theme parks, a family visit, and being able to work while sitting next to, or in Jeff’s case, in a pool.
Universal Studios
After taking some time to settle into our rental in Florida, we headed to Universal Studios! We bought Annual Passes so that we can go whenever we want.
Florida So Far
We’ve been in Florida for almost 2 weeks now. I was concerned that my anxiety would act up with all of the stresses of the past month, plus acclimating to life in Florida. But, so far, so good!
Journey to Florida
After being up bright (it was still dark out) and early, thanks to Charlie and Milo, I fell asleep in the car shortly after we got back on the highway to Florida. At one point, I woke up and we were stopped at a rest area in Georgia.
Murfreesboro
The first leg of our journey to Florida brought us to Murfreesboro, TN. I had booked a VRBO rental that graciously allowed us to bring our cats. It was a cute little studio apartment attached to the hosts’ home.
Busy Start to 2022
We have had a crazy January!
I am writing this post from the house we’ve rented in Florida. I will have to do another post about all of that, but I want to try and keep things chronological for my own sake. This post will be about the start of January.
Holidays 2021
The holiday season has come and gone and we have entered 2022.
To decorate the house for Christmas this year, I only put up our tree. I am also in the midst of packing for our move and for our long trip to Florida. I didn’t want to get too many decorations out and have to deal with them again later.
Packing
I haven’t posted in a while because I have been busy packing up our house!
Back in September, we put in an offer on some land to build a house on. We were excited to start the building process in October so that we could possibly have a new house waiting for us (or close to finished) when we get back from Florida in early April.
Orchard
This was actually over a week ago now, but my parents and nephew came to Green Bay to go to The Apple Store (they sell apples and pies and such, not iPhones) and go out to eat with me and Jeff.
Surprise Family Reunion
This past weekend, Jeff and I traveled down to my aunt’s house in Janesville to “help” with her and my grandparents’ garage sale. As I have mentioned in past posts, my grandparents are moving out of the house they have lived in for over 50 years. My aunt added a bunch of stuff from their house to a garage sale that included stuff from my uncle’s business that he is moving.
Grandma’s House
Grandparents
My grandparents are getting older. They have lived in the same house for 50 some years. Its a split level home with a huge yard and laundry in the basement. It is far too much for them to take care of anymore.
They snowbird in Arizona from around October to April and have done that for over 10 years now. They’ve also talked about selling their house for at least 10 years. It finally happened.
Stephen’s 4th Birthday
Four
My nephew Stephen turned 4 years old over the weekend. 4! I don’t know how he can be that old already.
We celebrated his birthday at South Park in Waupaca with our parents, grandparents, Aunt Carrie, Uncle John and our cousins Carl and Andy.
Wedding Time!
Wedding!
The General Manager of our store, The Game Capital, got married this past Saturday. I had been excited for the wedding for awhile, but I was a little nervous as it got closer because of the high rates of Delta COVID cases in our area. In the whole country, really.
Beach Day
Two Creeks Beach
Last week, I had a beach day with my friend Anna and her 4-year-old daughter. We went to Two Creeks Beach about 45 minutes from De Pere. It’s a small beach, but a nice one. Sort of secret. Unlike Bay Beach, it is actually a beach.
Bay Beach
Not a Beach
Last Wednesday, my parents, sister, and nephew came to Green Bay to go to Bay Beach.
By the way, Bay Beach is not actually a beach. It’s an amusement park. It used to have a beach, and they are working on making the beach usable again, but it got overrun by yuck a long time ago.
Minnesota (Part 4)
Paisley Park
Well, it’s been 2 weeks as of today since we were actually there, but on our final full day in Minnesota, we went to Paisley Park, which is Prince’s home and recording studio turned museum.
I plan my life out a day at a time, so my posting schedule can be erratic.
