Beach Day
Two Creeks Beach
Last week, I had a beach day with my friend Anna and her 4-year-old daughter. We went to Two Creeks Beach about 45 minutes from De Pere. It’s a small beach, but a nice one. Sort of secret. Unlike Bay Beach, it is actually a beach.
To get to the beach, you have to go down some rock steps that are not exactly the sturdiest. I was nervous the whole way down, especially since I was carrying things and I had Charlie leading the way on his leash.
Charlie
I have never taken Charlie to a beach before, so I wasn’t sure how he would like it. He seemed to enjoy it, though it took him a little while to get used to the waves.
According to Anna, the waves are usually calm at this beach. Not the case on that day. High waves and quite a bit of pull if you were in the water.
We walked up and down the beach and then I sat on our blanket with Charlie. Anna and her daughter played in the waves. It was really cute to watch them.
Not Alone Anymore
We were there alone for the most part. A mom and two teenagers eventually came along and sat not too far away from us. I didn’t think anything of them except that the boy had mullet, rattail thing going on. It bummed me out that those are coming back in style.
Two-Piece
I took some selfies while Anna and her daughter played in the water. I wore a two-piece for the first time in a long time and I felt good about myself. I couldn’t get any full-body ones. I was gonna ask Anna to take some for me, but the other family was there and I felt too awkward.
When I got home and added photos from the day on Instagram and Facebook, one of my wedding photographers sent me a message saying she was at the beach that day. She was the mother of the two teenagers! Small world. She said she liked my swimsuit too, so that was nice.
