Ring Fit
Ring Fit Adventure
A friend of mine from Zumba got the Nintendo Switch Zumba: Burn it Up game from her wife for Christmas. I miss Zumba, so I looked into getting it myself. While searching for it, I came across the Ring Fit Adventure game.
How did I not know this existed before??
I may vaguely remember possibly seeing a commercial for it awhile ago, but I’m not sure.
Well, we had some leftover Target Gift Card money, so I used it on the Ring Fit game. I received it late last week and played it the next day.
Workouts
I started with the Custom Workout mode. There are tons of different workouts! They have “Recommended” workouts for each muscle group, like Arms, Legs, Core, Abs, etc. You can go through them however you want, or you can have a Workout “Plan” that leads you through a workout.
I used a couple of the “Recommended” workout plans and didn’t add anything more. Each plan took about 5-6 minutes. I was sweating at the end of them! My thighs are still quite sore from it.
Ring-Con
I was wearing leggings the first time I used the Ring-Con, and I had some issues with the leg band slipping down a lot. My second time, I wore shorts and the leg band stayed on my leg just fine.
I gave my legs some rest for a couple of days and tried it again today. This time I did similar workouts but concentrated on the muscles from the waist up. I didn’t get as sweaty this time, so I tried out the Adventure part of the game.
It led me through a 5-minute video of a storyline the game follows. It is mainly jogging in place to make your character jog and using the Ring-Con to grab coins, jump, or open doors. It’s pretty basic stuff, but it gets you moving, and that’s the important thing!
I’m excited to keep using it as a new workout tool.
