Date Day!
Tuscon’s
Jeff is officially 2 weeks past his last vaccination! We celebrated by having our first “Date Day” outing in over a year.
We chose to dine at Tuscon’s Southwest Grill. It is one of our favorite restaurants and I had seen a lot of great reviews about their COVID precautions in my COVID-Safe Business group on Facebook. It was a good choice!
COVID Dining
It was my 3rd dining out experience post-COVID and it was by far my favorite. All staff was masked, tables were set up for social distancing, and everyone was required to wear a mask whenever they were not eating or drinking. They were taking COVID seriously and it made me feel safe. I still appreciate that even though we are vaccinated.
I got tacos because it’s Taco Tuesday! Jeff got his usual hamburger and fries. He is a boring eater. I’m not much better when it comes to being a picky eater though. But, I at least eat foods you don’t typically find on the kid’s menu.
Shopping
After lunch, we went to Target since Jeff hadn’t been in one for a long time. We actually made it out of there without buying anything!
Next, we went to Costco, where we actually needed to buy some things, but I didn’t go overboard like I usually do. So, pat on the back for me.
The Game Capital
Our final stop wasn’t really date-worthy. I guess Target and Costco aren’t either, haha. We went to our store, The Game Capital, to drop off some supplies and snacks we had gotten for staff at Costco.
I met a couple of our staff members that were new to me. I was awkward as usual. I didn’t recognize him as someone I knew, so for some reason, I chose to look around at the store instead of greeting him. You know, like an asshole would do.
Luckily, he introduced himself to me. He is the employee that has been working on getting the retail section in order and he showed me the progress he has made on board games. It’s looking really good! Better than I could have done.
